AI Disclosure
Where SquadSpace uses AI, what data is sent to which providers, and what happens to it.
In plain terms
AI powers captioning, review tools, and our assistants. When you use those features, the relevant content is sent to established AI providers to generate a result. We don’t train models on your content, and we choose providers that don’t either by default. AI output can be wrong — review it before you rely on it.
01Where we use AI
- Auto-captions (Sonet) — transcribing and captioning your audio and video.
- Review AI tools — summaries, chapters, key moments, and Q&A over your media and documents.
- Assistants — the chat agents that help with creative and editing tasks.
- Media tooling — image transformations and enhancements you invoke.
02What data is sent, and to whom
When you invoke an AI feature, only the content needed for that task — for example the audio to transcribe, or the document text to summarize — is transmitted to the relevant provider. Providers we use are named in our Subprocessors list and include established AI vendors for language, transcription, audio, and image processing.
03Training
We do not use Your Content to train our own models. We select AI providers on terms under which your content is not used to train their models by default. We link each provider’s data-use commitment on the Subprocessors page so you can verify it.
04Retention by providers
Providers may retain content briefly to deliver the result and for limited abuse-monitoring, per their published policies. We minimize what we send and do not ask providers to retain content beyond what the feature requires.
05Accuracy & your responsibility
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Captions, summaries, and generated media should be reviewed by a human before you publish or rely on them. You are responsible for the content you produce with AI features and for ensuring you have the rights to the inputs you provide.
06Your controls
AI features are invoked by you — content isn’t sent to AI providers unless you use a feature that requires it. If you have questions about a specific feature’s data flow, contact privacy@www.squadspace.co.
07Prohibited AI uses
You may not use AI features to generate content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy, including illegal, infringing, deceptive, or harmful material.
